I’m an on- and off-line news designer, writer, sub-editor, photographer, strategist, analyst and marketer fascinated with the future for news and how technology can be embraced to create and inform.

I’ve been working in print and online media in Ireland, North and South, for 19 years. I discovered the internet in 1994. After about six months I finally found someone else that I knew with an email address and since then I’ve been intrigued by the possibilites that technology opens up, particularly in the creation and distribution of news. This is the primary focus of this blog.

I’m also keen on encouraging people to explore and use technology. I’ve found that most people simply don’t understand how to use technology and can’t see the benefits to them. I’ll be using this blog to that end too.
