Tweeting for Ireland

I applied for the curation of @Ireland what feels like an age ago. In fact, I’d just about given up on the idea when an email landed in my inbox asking if I’d curate this week, the week of a contentious and highly significant referendum, something that could define Ireland’s fate for years.
After expressing disappointment that Jedward at the Eurovision was last week and juggling many projects I agreed.
Well, it wasn’t quite like that. It was more like being a child in a massive sweet shop trying to decide whether to spend their pocket money or put it in the Credit Union. I’ve been fascinated by curation for a long time and opportunities like this don’t grow on trees.
So what’ll I be talking about? Well, obviously the referendum but not for the whole week. I’m a serial early-adopter of new technologies, particularly in this area so expect me to rave about them. I’m also interested in art, design (particularly typography),
It’s an honour to be the Twitter voice of Ireland for a week. I’ll try to blog the experience and use some interesting curation apps during the week. I hope I do it justice and I hope to see you there.
